Multiple break and enters in the north end of Winnipeg were solved after the arrest of a 46-year-old Winnipeg man.
Police say that the suspect was caught after he was found pushing a cabinet in a shopping cart near Flora Avenue and Aikins Street shortly after a 5:00 am break-in of a Dufferin Avenue convenience store. The cabinet had been taken during that break-in.
Investigators have arrested and charged Robert Shawn Nault with 28 counts of Break and Enter and say that between November 24, 2018 and December 9, 2018 he would force his way into businesses and then steal food, merchandise and cash before fleeing. He allegedly broke into several of the businesses multiple times including a food store on Burrows Avenue that he hit four times in that period and a Salter Street food store three times.

- A food store in the 300 block of Manitoba Avenue
- A food store in the 400 block of Selkirk Avenue
- A food store in the 400 block of Selkirk Avenue (x2)
- A food store in the 200 block of Salter Street (x3)
- A convenience store in the 300 block of Mountain Avenue
- A gas station in the 100 block of Salter Street
- A food store in the 400 block of Burrows Avenue (x4)
- A food store in the 500 block of Selkirk Avenue
- A convenience store in the 400 block of Selkirk Avenue
- A restaurant in the 400 block of Aberdeen Avenue
- A medical clinic in the 400 block of Selkirk (x2)
- A food store in the 500 block of Dufferin Avnue
- A medical clinic in the 500 block of Selkirk Avenue
- A food store in the 300 block of Selkirk Avenue (x2)
- A convenience store in the 300 block of Selkirk Avenue (x2)
- A food store in the 400 block of Selkirk Avenue
- A clothing store in the 500 block of Selkirk Avenue
- A convenience store in the 500 block of Manitoba Avenue
- A convenience store in the 300 block of Dufferin Avenue
When arrested Nault gave officers a false name and also resited arrest which also netted him a Resist Peace Officer charge
He was detained in custody.
