Air Miles reverses policy
In an about face and under extreme pressure from collectors Loyalty One has reversed its decision to expire all Air Miles over 5 years old.
“There is uncertainty with provincial governments proposing or considering legislation across Canada so we have decided to cancel the expiry policy so that all Collectors, regardless of location, can be confident that their balances will be protected.” said Bryan Pearson, President and CEO, LoyaltyOne.
Collectors have been complaining for years about the policy that was first announced in 2011. Over the summer collectors across Canada were also complaining about the way Air Miles rewards were redeemed online.
