Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service is investigating a house fire that happened in the early evening on December 29, 2018.

Crews were able to quickly get the blaze under control in the one and a half story home on Burrows Avenue.

Officials with the city say the residence was vacant at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.

The building sustained extensive smoke, fire and water damage.
