Former Manitoba broadcaster now accused of three more bank robberies in Regina

Former CKY-TV (CTV WINNIPEG) news director and Red River College journalism instructor, Steve Vogelsang, has been accused of committing three additional bank robberies this time in Regina.

Earlier this week Regina Police told media that they were in contact with Medicine Hat Police Service regarding Vogelsang and were looking into similar robberies that occurred in the Saskatchewan city.

Regina Police say that in July an RBC Royal Bank was allegedly robbed by Vogelsang. He entered the bank carrying a weapon and demanded money.

On October 13, 2017, police say Vogelsang robbed a Scotiabank just after the noon hour on Albert Street. Five days later on October 18, 2017, a third bank was knocked over on Gordon Road.

Information Regina Police got from inquiries made to Medicine Hat police led to Vogelsang’s arrest.

On Thursday of this week Vogelsang had his bail hearing remanded until November 2, 2017.
