Emergency crews responded to a report of a suspicious package in the 200 block of Vaughan St. around 6:30 Friday evening.

By 7:30 the incident had been cleared and the road reopened to traffic.

The suspicious package was a discarded backpack and was determined to be safe.

The incident occurred across the street from the Law Courts where another suspicious package exploded on Wednesday.

During the noon hour Friday, a suspicious package was found outside the Winnipeg Police headquarters on Graham. It turned out to also be harmless.
