RCMP responded to a report of a break-in in progress in the RM of Rosser in the early afternoon of February 8, 2019.
As officers were on their way to the call they learned that a black pickup truck was involved and was fleeing the area.
Police from Stonewall, Selkirk and Headingley moved into the area in search of the vehicle.
A unit patrolling Highway 321 spotted the truck and as they turned around to investigate it sped away. Shortly afterwards the suspect vehicle slid into a ditch at Highway 326 and Provincial Road 70.
The three suspects took off running on foot through snow-covered fields. Police quickly caught a female suspect near the truck as the male suspects continued to flee.
Officers converged on the area and were able to take the two males into custody in short order.
RCMP learned that the vehicle had also been stolen and a search of it uncovered a large amount of stolen property.
Benjamin Abbott, 29; William Meade, 25; and Melanie Rudolf, 29, all of Winnipeg, were arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x 3.
Police continue to investigate.
