71 break and enter charges and 63 weapon possession charges are being faced by a man who allegedly was responsible for a spree of break-ins throughout Winnipeg between the end of April and the beginning of December 2017.
Police say that the suspect would force his way into homes and target gold and jewellery.
Over the course of the crime spree police estimate that $180,000 in stolen property was taken and that the damage to the residences the suspects caused exceeds $60,000.

He was eventually caught on December 6 after he and another man committed a break-in in the first 100 block of Blenheim Avenue. In that robbery, the pair stole jewellery and wrapped Christmas presents. As the pair left the scene neighbours took note of the vehicle and relayed the information to police.
Members of the Major Crimes Unit located the vehicle about an hour later and arrested the two suspects.
Jason Kenneth Lundberg, 42, has been charged for his alleged involvement with:
- Break, Enter and Theft x 71
- Possess Weapon x 63
- Fail to Comply with Recognizance
- 2 firearms related offences
Jamie Leonard Brenner, 40, has been charged for his involvement with two counts of Break, Enter and Theft.
