Brandon Police have arrested a 24 year old woman after she allegedly assaulted a 24 year old man around 9:30 pm Saturday May 27, 2017.

It happened in the 2300 block of Brandon Avenue. A male was seen running from the residence covered in blood. 

When police arrived at the scene they found a young child and an intoxicated female in the home. There were also signs that indicated a violent encounter had taken place.

The K-9 unit was called in and after searching the area they were able to locate the 24 year old man in the 3400 block of Willowdale Cres. with multiple stab wounds to his arms. The victim was taken to Brandon Regional Health Centre to be treated.

The 24 year old female was arrested for aggravated Assault and taken to the Brandon Correctional Centre.

Officers continue to investigate.
