Brandon Police seized $48K worth of Fentanyl during traffic stop

Brandon Police have two men in custody after a traffic stop on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, led them seize 80 grams of Fentanyl worth nearly $48,000 on the street. Officers also seized an undisclosed amount of cash as well as a “conductive energy weapon” that had disguised as a flashlight.

A 59-year-old man from Starbuck was arrested and faces charges for not only the drugs and the illegal weapon but also for breaching a court ordered recognizance which prohibited him from talking to communicating with the other person in the vehicle.

The other man in the vehicles a 35-year-old from Winnipeg who was wanted on a province wide arrest warrant for Assault and Mischief Under $ 5000.00. 

Both men were detained.
