New Year’s celebrations for a Brandon man got costly after Brandon Police issued him a $672 ticket.
It happened Sunday night at a bar in the 1000 block of 18th Street. The 33-year-old man had been drinking throughout the evening and was highly intoxicated, according to police. He began causing problems so officers were called in.
The male was arrested and taken to the Brandon Correctional Centre and also issued the ticket for disorderly conduct in a licenced premise.
He will be released when he is sober.
