Brandon teen busted after shooting out vehicles back window

 

Brandon Police have arrested a 17-year-old male after he turned himself in.

In April 2018 police were patrolling in the 1500 block of Richmond Avenue when they noticed a vehicle with a smashed out back window.

After stopping the vehicle officers learned that it had been shot out while the vehicle was driving by a BB gun.

Police were able to identify the suspect responsible for the shooting and subsequent damage.

The Brandon youth has been charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Assault with a Weapon, and Mischief to Property under $5000.

He was released on a promise to appear in court in July.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the incident.
