Brandon Police arrested a 24-year-old male after he stabbed a female several times Sunday morning, November 25, 2018.

Officers were called to a residence on 22nd Street and found a female suffering from stab wounds to her arms, legs and mid-section. She was taken to hospital.

The investigation revealed initially that two male suspects may have been involved in the incident and they may have been armed with a firearm but it turned out to only be one man. After the woman was stabbed the suspect stole several items from her including her vehicle.

Police identified the suspect and were in the process of preparing a search warrant when they spotted him leaving a residence on Cornwallis Crescent. Officers made a high-risk vehicle stop and arrested the man. The stolen vehicle and items were recovered by police.
