Two thieves were surprised on Sunday, August 12, 2018, after a man walked in on them while they were robbing his sister’s apartment.

Police in Brandon say that it happened around 2:30 pm in the 300 block of 12th Street. As the brother walked in he saw two suspects attempting to steal a number of items. The brother was able to get some of the items back from the suspects but they tool off after being confronted.

Around 5:30 am this morning, August 13, 2018 police found one of the suspects in the downtown area of the wheat city.

A 22-year-old male was arrested and charged with Break, Enter and Theft. He was released from custody and will appear in court in October.

Police are still looking for the second suspect.
