BPS take drugs off street

 

 

 

 

Brandon Police have arrested a 30 year old man for drug trafficking.

It happened Thursday April 27, 2017 just after 10:00pm.  BPS was executing a search warrant at a home in the 1800 block of McDonald Avenue. When police arrived they found four people in the residence. Two of the people were released without any charges.

A 16 year old male was arrested after it was discovered that he had a can of bear spray. He was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Police have charged a 30 year old man with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana, Possession of Proceeds of Crime, and Possession of Ammunition (shotgun shell) contrary to a Prohibition. He was taken into custody and appeared in court earlier today.

During their search police officers located 9.5 grams of methamphetamine, items indicative of trafficking and $585 in cash.

Police say the street value of the drugs seized was approximately $2000.00
