BRANDON POLICE RECOVER STOLEN TRUCK AFTER TIP FROM PUBLIC

Brandon Police Service have two teens in custody after they stopped the stolen vehicle they were in.

Around 7:00 pm Monday night police got a call from a resident on Clark Drive about  two men who parked a Ford F-150 with Saskatchewan plates in front of their property. Both men left the vehicle with backpacks. The resident felt something was odd. When police arrived the truck was gone.

Officers ran the plates and learned that the vehicle had been stolen on Saturday May 13, 2017 from Churchbridge, Saskatchewan.

As police were patrolling overnight they noticed the truck at a gas station at 34th and Victoria Avenue. Just after 4:00 am police stopped the truck. A 19 year old male and an 18 year old female have been arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime.

Police continue to investigate.
