Brandon Police have seized a number of weapons and arrested several suspects after executing a search warrant on a home in the 800 block of 9th Street on Wednesday, November 1, 2017.
Police, including the tactical response unit, cordoned off the area as they surrounded the home prior to executing the search warrant.
Six people inside the home were ordered out of the residence and taken into custody,

Investigators seized four guns including a sawed-off shotgun and a sawed-off .22 rifle. They also seized a number of knives including machetes.
Police also recovered a zip-loc bag containing several ounces of what they believe to be methamphetamine. The also seized “drug trafficking-related” items and a stolen mountain bike.
A 27-year-old male was arrested and charged with a number of weapon and drug offences. He was also wanted on a prior arrest warrant for an incident that happened at the same residence in mid-October 2017. At that time it is alleged that the suspect put a gun in the mouth of a victim and threatened them.
A 43-year-old female was also arrested for a number of drug, weapon and theft charges
Both the male and female were detained by police.
Four other people were arrested during the search of the residence and face a number of unrelated charges including failing to present for fingerprints and breach of probation and shoplifting
A seventh man was arrested just prior to the search. a 22-year-old male had exited the home and left the area in a cab. Police conducted a traffic stop and the male was found to have cocaine on his person. He was under a recognizance to not possess illegal drugs.
Brandon Police say that the search of the home was the culmination of months of work by investigators into the people who lived there and people who frequented the home.
