27 year old woman facing assault charges

Brandon Police responded to a call from a woman who said she had been assaulted just after 8:00 am Friday April 14, 2017.

When police arrived they found out that the woman had approached a man and started an argument with him. She then assaulted him.

Police attempted to arrest the woman when she became combative with officers. During the resistance she kicked one of the officers in the head. She was eventually cuffed and taken to the Brandon Correctional Centre.

She has been charged with Domestic Assault, Assault Peace Officer, Resist Arrest and Uttering Threats for her alleged involvement and will appear in Brandon court on May 15, 2017.

She was released on a promise to appear
