Brandon police have arrested and charged a Winnipeg man after an altercation with officers.
On Saturday, July 30, 2022, police were investigating an attempted theft from a taxi in the area of Stanley Park. A man matching the description of the suspect was approached by officers and he became physically aggressive with them before fleeing on foot.
Officers gave chase and were able to take the accused into custody a short distance away.
The 32-year-old man has been charged for his alleged involvement with Assault Peace officer and detained in custody pending a court appearance.
