Brandon mom charged for impaired driving after rollover

A 29-year-old Brandon mother is facing impaired driving charges after the vehicle she was driving was involved in a rollover on Wednesday night, July 6, 2022.

RCMP say they responded to the single vehicle rollover on Richmond Avenue West near Road 66 around 9:45 pm.

When officers arrived they found the vehicle on the north side of Richmond Avenue West. The roof had been caved in and the windshield had been ripped from the vehicle.

The female driver and two female children, aged five and 11 months, needed to be extricated from the vehicle. They were all taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

While in hospital the female was tested and determined to be impaired. She was arrested on her release from hospital can charged for her alleged involvement with Impaired Operation of a Conveyance Over .08 and Impaired Operation Causing Bodily Harm.

Her licence has been suspended and is scheduled to appear in court.
