A 54-year-old male is facing Attempted Murder charges after a 43-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times to the upper body.
Brandon Police say it happened Around 9:30 pm Saturday, September 21, 2019 at an apartment complex on 16th Street East.
When officers arrived on scene they located the victim in the vestibule area. She was taken to hospital in stable condition.
Officers cleared the building looking for other possible casualties but came across the suspect still armed with the knife. A taser was used to gain control of the suspect and take him into custody.
Police say that they believe the suspect and victim were living together.
The investigation is continuing.
