Brandon Police have arrested and charged a 46-year-old Brandon man for Assault Peace Officer after an incident early Saturday morning, December 29, 2018.
Police say that they responded to the report of a fight around 2:00 am in a downtown alley.
When officers arrived they found the suspect bleeding from his mouth. As he was being treated by police the man became combative and spit blood on one of the officers.
The officer did not require medical attention. The suspect did receive medical attention, was charged for the assault and then released.
He is scheduled to attend court in February of 2019.
