Brandon Police Service responded to a weapons call just after 9:30 pm Monday night, July 24, 2017, to a home in the 400 block of Louise Avenue.
The caller told police that the suspect had pointed a firearm at him and made threats.
The BPS Tactical Response Unit, Criminal Investigations Unit and Crisis Negotiators Team responded to the scene.
A 40-year-old man was found in the home just after 4:00 am Tuesday morning as the Tactical Response Unit cleared the residence.
Police located a firearm inside the home.
The male suspect was arrested and charges are pending.
Brandon police continue to investigate.
