Man arrested after Brandon K-9 tracks him down

Brandon Police have arrested a 32-year-old male after he was tracked down by a Police Service Dog.

On Wednesday, December 5, 2018, officers responded to an alarm at a home on 13th Street. The suspect had broken into the residence through a window but had fled before police arrived.

The Brandon Police Service K-9 unit was called in and tracked the suspect for several blocks before locating and arresting him.

A search of the suspect located several items that had been taken from the home.

The accused has been charged with Break and Enter and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

He was held in custody.
