Brandon Police have arrested two men on immigration violations.
It happened on Friday, March 30, 2018, when BPS officers stopped a vehicle travelling on 18th Street North. Police say the driver of the vehicle was using his cell phone while driving. The two men in the vehicle were asked for ID and officers were given passports from another country.

When questioned by officers neither of the men could produce valid visas.
After contacting Canada Border Services police learned that both of the men previously had visas but they had expired.
The pair were taken into custody and are now in Brandon Correctional Centre waiting for a hearing in the near future. The case is being taken over by officers with Canada Border Services.
