Brandon Police say that over the past week they have seized $ 453,200.00 worth of illegal drugs including Meth, Heroin, and Fentanyl.
On Thursday May 2, 2019 officers began an investigation into illegal drugs which began with a traffic stop in the Wheat City. Police seized 11 ounces of Meth during the initial stop worth nearly $31,000 on the street. The also seized an undisclosed amount of cash.
Soon afterwards officers made a second traffic stop this time seizing 4 ounces of Heroin worth about $56,000 on the street.
Police then stopped a 28-year-old woman and found her in possession of 71 grams of Meth worth about $42,000. She also had a can of bear spray on her at the time of the search.
Next officers executed a search warrant at a home in the city’s west end. Officer seized 9 ounces of Meth and 2 ounces of Heroin worth about $26,400.00 on the street.
Six people were taken into custody and face a number of drug related charges including trafficking
