Just before 11:30 pm on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, Brandon Police conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Princess Avenue.
The officer conducting the stop recognized the driver and knew the man had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
The 31-year-old driver was taken into custody and searched. 11 grams of methamphetamine were found. The suspect was charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Proceeds of Crime and 4 counts of Breach of his Court Ordered Recognizance.
He was detained.
At the same time, a 27-year-old male passenger in the vehicle also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for Arrest for Assault Police Officer, Carry a Concealed Weapon, Possess a Weapon Dangerous and Fail to Attend Court.
He also was detained.
Police say that two other passengers in the vehicle were released without charges.
