Brand Police find meth, cocaine and pills during traffic stop

Brandon Police arrested two people early Monday morning, November 26, 2018, on drug-related charges after they had stopped a vehicle on Pacific Avenue.

Police say that just before 1:00 am they conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 32-year-old male for unlawful transportation of liquor. At the time of the arrest, police noticed what appeared to be methamphetamine and a pill bottle beside the passenger. The bottle contained Hydromorphone.

A search of the vehicle uncovered more drugs in the center console including Cocaine, Meth, 90 Gabapentin pills and 10 Hydromorphone pills.

The 28-year-old driver from Forest, Manitoba and the 32-year-old passenger from Brandon were charged for possession of the drugs.

They were released on promises to appear in court in January 2019.
