In the span of one week Brandon Police say that they have issued 69 tickets related to their distracted driving enforcement initiative.
Police say that between April 3rd and 11th, 2019 officers cited drivers for a number of offences including:
- 29 for using cell phones while driving
- 3 for failing to wear seatbelts
- 1 for driving while disqualified
- 3 for driving with an invalid driver’s license
- 10 for unregistered vehicles
- 8 for no vehicle insurance
- 14 for disobeying traffic control devices
- 1 for another Highway Traffic Act offence
