A Brandon woman is facing charges after she left her child unattended.
Police say that just after 1:00 am on Thursday, September 27, 2018, they were called to an apartment complex on Willowdale Crescent after a security company contacted them about a child crying in one of the units with no apparent adult present.
When police arrived and entered the unit they found a 1 to 2-year-old child unsupervised.
The 29-year-old mother was identified and located. She was highly intoxicated at the time of her arrest.
The child was taken into care by Child and Family Services
