Brandon Police have arrested a 38-year-old female after she barricaded herself inside a residence in the 700 block of 10th Street.

Police were called to the residence after receiving a report of a dispute between a landlord and tenant. When officers arrived that were faced with the barricaded woman but were able to force their way in after the female threatened to hurt herself with a knife.

The woman refused to comply with the orders of the officers and police needed to use a taser to bring her under control.

The woman is now facing Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Possession of Weapons while Prohibited.
