Brandon Police have arrested and charged a 19 year old man with Assault, Invitation to Sexual Touching, Sexual Interference, Sexual Assault and Unlawfully in a Dwelling House after he allegedly assaulted a 13 year old Brandon girl.

It happened Monday just after midnight. The man went to the girls house and asked if he could come in and talk. The pair spent several hours in the girls bedroom during which time the assaults occurred. The man was discovered in the girl’s room by her mother the next morning and kicked him out of the house.

The mother and the girl reported the incident to a guidance counsellor at school. Police were called in and an investigation conducted.

The suspect was apprehended on Tuesday afternoon and released on an undertaking with several conditions.

He is expected to appear in court in January.
