Brandon Police Service report that Wednesday night around 11pm an altercation broke out between two youths near the skate park in the 900 block of Princess Avenue.

A 13 year old female allegedly assaulted a 14 year old female with a bat. The victim sustained minor injuries and knew  the assailant.

The suspect has been charged with assault with a weapon and will appear in Brandon court in September.
