The new service road between Waverley Street and Brady Road is set to begin construction announced Infrastructure Minister Ron Schuler on Wednesday, August 5, 2020.
The road will be upgraded from a gravel road to a bituminous pavement road that meets national standards to withstand a high volume of traffic and extreme weather conditions.
“The new service road will greatly improve traffic safety and flow for thousands of drivers who pass through the area on the South Perimeter and hundreds who use the South Perimeter to access the Brady Road Landfill daily,” said Schuler.

The new service road is expected to be in operation by November of 2020. Once construction is complete the turnoff from the Perimeter Highway onto Brady Road will be closed.
The new road will be named Ethan Boyer Way in honour of a 19-year-old who was killed in a collision on the perimeter at Brady Road in October 2019.
