Police looking for man in his 40s
On Good Friday, April 14, 2017 Winnipeg Police got a report that a man had attempted to abduct an 11 year old boy just before 3:30pm.
The boy had been walking in the area of Selkirk Avenue and Parr Street when he was approached by a male. The man grabbed the victim and tried to drag him away but the boy put up a fight and was able to break free. Once free the victim took off but was chased for a long distance by the suspect.
The boy was able to make his way home and was not physically hurt.
Police report that they combed the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as:
- male in his 40s
- balding, medium build
- with reading glasses, grey coloured shirt
- grey and orange coloured jacket (grey from the chest down with orange on the shoulders)
- blue jeans, and white/grey coloured shoes
