RCMP say a 2-year-old boy is dead after being attacked by dogs in the community of Gods Lake Narrows. Gods Lake Narrows is about 550 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
Police were called to the scene around 12:45 pm on Monday, September 23, 2019. Officers located the body of the child a short distance away from his home in a wooded area.
Members of the community searched the forest near where the boy was found and shot several dogs that were seen returning to the area.
RCMP continue to investigate.
