BOY INJURED ON CANADA DAY AFTER MISHAP WITH HOMEMADE INCENDIARY

Winnipeg Police have arrested and charged a 41 year old man after an 11 year old boy was injured after a homemade incendiary device exploded in his hand.
Police say that on July 1, 2017 they responded to the report of an injured child and found the boy suffering severe injuries to his hand. The youth was taken to hospital in stable condition.
During the investigation police found a firearm inside the residence and seized it.
The 41 year old male suspect has been charged for his alleged involvement with Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm and Breach of Duty Related to Explosives.
 
The suspect was released on a Promise to Appear.
