Youth charged after Churchill High School bomb scare

Winnipeg Police have arrested and charged a 14-year-old male after Churchill High School was evacuated due to a bomb scare on Wednesday, October 17, 2018.

Police say that around 10:00 am they received the report of a bomb threat after staff at the school found a threatening note.

Officers evacuated the school and searched the building but did not locate anything suspicious.

The male youth is facing Public Mischief and Uttering Threats charges for his alleged involvement.

The youth was released on a promise to appear in court.
