Selkirk RCMP have recovered the body of a 37-year-old male from a quarry in the RM of St. Andrews on Monday, June 24, 2019.
The male had been reported missing earlier in the day around 5:15 pm.
Police say that he had been last seen on the beach area of the water-filled quarry near Henry Road. He was part of a group of people who had been swimming at the gravel pits.
Police, emergency services and community members searched the area and found the male in the water around 10:15 pm.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
RCMP continue to investigate and are waiting for results of an autopsy.
