RCMP in Thompson were called to a home in the northern Manitoba community just before 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 6, 2019, after the body of a female was found dead outside.

Police were able to identify the woman as a 29-year-old resident from Thompson who had been reported missing three days before.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

Investigators do not know if the death is criminal in nature.
