Body of missing boater found in Red River

Winnipeg Police say that the body of a missing boater was located in the Red River on Saturday, May 12, 2018.

The boat the man had been on capsized on May 4, 2018, near the Chief Peguis Trail Bridge. Three other men on the boat were able to get to the shore.

Emergency Service crews searched the river but were unable to locate the man.

Police say the family of the victim have been notified.
