Winnipeg Police Service Homicide Unit are investigating after a caller reported the discovery of a body in a trash bin behind a home on Lansdowne Avenue Wednesday evening, March 25, 2020.
When officers arrived they confirmed the body was that of a diseased adult male.
This death marks the 9th homicide in Winnipeg in 2020.
Investigators are asking area residents to report any suspicious activity that had happened in the area over the past few days. Police are also asking anyone with security cameras to check the footage over the past few days for any unusual activity.
