On September 21, 2024, at approximately 1:00 pm, the Selkirk RCMP responded to a distressing report of a body floating in the Red River near the 3900 block of Henderson Highway in the Rural Municipality of East St. Paul.
Upon recovery, an autopsy was conducted, which confirmed that the cause of death was not criminal in nature. However, the identity of the deceased remains unknown at this time.
The Selkirk RCMP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
