Early Wednesday morning a man went into Health Sciences Centre and began wandering the complex before entering a woman’s staff washroom.
Security found the male and was escorting him outside when he made threats to kill them. As they continued to walk the man towards the exit he got into a fighting posture multiple times.
The male had let his bicycle in the entry corridor and as they approached it the man got into a fighting stance picked up his bike and threw it at the security officers hitting two of them cause one to suffer an injury.
Security cuffed the man and held him for police.
Necho Debbin Bittern, 26 from Winnipeg, has been charged for his alleged involvement with:
- Assault a Peace Officer with a Weapon (x2)
- Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm (x3)
He was detained in custody.
