Berens River RCMP along with Major Crime Services are investigating the homicide of a 38-year-old male victim.
Police say that just before 4:30 am on Saturday, November 16, 2019, they were called to a home in the Berens River First Nation for a report of an assault.
Berens River is 273 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
Police say the victim from Bloodvein First Nation was taken to hospital but died from his injuries on Monday, November 18, 2019.
Police are continuing to investigate the death as a homicide.
