Bear spray wielding robber carjacks victim at gas station

An 18-year-old male is facing robbery and weapons charges after he allegedly carjacked a man in his 20s early Monday morning, October 31, 2022.

Police say the victim was at a gas station in the 100 block of Marion Street around 1:15 am when he was approached by the suspect armed with bear spray.

The robber took the victim’s vehicle and was found several hours later in the West Alexander neighbourhood. Officers stopped the vehicle at Sherbrook Street and Ross Avenue. The driver (the accused) and two passengers were taken into custody. Officers seized bear spray from inside the vehicle.

Darrell Joshua Eastman-Moore was charged for his alleged involvement and detained in custody.

The two passengers were released by police without charges.

The robbery victim was not physically injured.
