If you are a Goog Special lover you no longer have to wait until spring to enjoy your favourite concoctions.
Winnipeg’s famous ice cream shop will be opening a third Winnipeg location inside Kildonan Place Shopping Centre sometime in December of this year.
“We are thrilled to bring this legendary local brand to the mall,” said Sandra Hagenaars, Kildonan Place General Manager. “Many customers have asked us for an ice cream shop, and when Winnipeggers think ‘ice cream,’ they think BDI.”
BDI began operating on Jubilee Avenue in 1957 next to the old bridge crossing the Red River in Winnipeg’s Riverview neighbourhood. Currently, BDI operates a second location at the University of Manitoba and a mobile ice cream truck.
