Winnipeg Police Service patrol officers called in a working structure fire at 6:55 pm Tuesday evening, August 25, 2020.
When firefighters arrived on scene they encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the two-storey residence.
A defensive attack was launched.
A neighbouring home was evacuated as a precaution say fire officials.
The blaze was declared under control at 7:330 pm.
Crews searched the building but did not find anyone inside. No injuries were reported.
The structure suffered significant damage from smoke, flames and water. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
