RCMP have taken to social media Monday to bring to light the dangers and cost associated with speeding on Manitoba highways.
A 24 year old was tagged for travelling 72 kmh over the 100kmh speed limit. They also got a ticket for for failing to produce their drivers license. Drivers in Manitoba are required to have their license on their person while operating a motor vehicle. All told the fines added up to $1,105.00 plus the increased cost to their insurance and drivers license after they are assessed demerits by Manitoba Public Insurance.

The mounties also caught a 21 year old driving 51 kmh over the 100kmh speed limit. When they pulled them over the cops found open liquor in the vehicle. $718 for speeding, $237 for open liquor and the ongoing increased fees for licensing and registration.
