ATTEMPTED ROBBERY NETS 21 YEAR OLD A HAND FULL OF CHARGES

A 21 year old man is facing a number of charges related to an attempted robbery in the 200 block of Selkirk Avenue on Thursday June 22, 2017.
It happened just before 11:00 pm, the man walked into the store while concealing his face armed with a shotgun.
Once inside he aimed the gun at an employee of the store and demanded cash. 
Police say that at this point a short confrontation occurred and the male took off without getting anything.
No shots were fired and on one was injured in the incident.
Patrol units in the area saw the male suspect around 2:00 am on June 23, 2017. The man was arrested at a home in the 300 block of Selkirk Avenue.
Charged with a number of robbery and firearm related offences for his alleged involvement is Carl Avery Daniels. Police have charge him with the following:
  • – Armed Robbery using a Firearm
  • – Disguise with Intent
  • – Pointing a Firearm
  • – Use of a Firearm During Commission of an Indictable Offence
  • – Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
  • – Possession of a Weapon
  • – Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime
  • – Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited/ Restricted Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order (x2)

 

Daniels was detained in custody.
