What was reported as an attempted abduction by police last week turns out to be something nowhere near as sinister.

On Friday an 11 year old boy was grabbed then chased by an adult near Selkirk Avenue. The boy was able to get away and make it to Grandmother’s home.

On Tuesday Winnipeg Police say that they have concluded the investigation into the attempted abduction but after talking to those involved have determined it was not an abduction attempt.

Witnesses say that the boy had been on the man’s roof prior to the incident.
